1976 Caterpillar 3408 diesel engine, turbocharged, aftercooled, 450 HP rating at 2100 RPM, arrangement # 9N0802 (9N-0802,) built SPECIFICALLY for on road truck applications. VERY HARD TO FIND BUILD -- ARRANGEMENT # IS FOR ON-ROAD TRUCK APPLICATIONS. COMES COMPLETE AS YOU SEE IT. ENGINE TEST RAN CLEAN, SHOWING 80 PSI OIL PRESSURE AT IDLE AT 95+ PSI AT MID/FULL THROTTLE. ACCORDING TO PREVIOUS OWNER ENGINE HAS VERY LOW TIME, WAS PURCHASED FOR AN IRRIGATION PUMP AND NEVER INSTALLED. DON'T MISS THIS ONE -- VERY VERY RARE SPEC HERE !! Engine long block SHOULD interchange w/ EARLY CAT 3408 engines in the following applications: 3408 and 3408B industrial engines 3408 truck engines 631D, 633D, and 637D scrapers 988B wheel loaders (early serial #s only)
